My coworkers are all computer geeks who are much smarter than I am. They talk about Agile and CSS codes. Development talk might as well be considered a foreign language.
They play Magic card games. It is a mixture between Dragonball / Pokemon and Harry Potter. I have never seen men get so into a card game, as if they were playing Command and Conquer.
Even though I do not fit the mold of an IT Dev person, I enjoy the quirky things that go on in my work place.
In a way, I can relate to the other nerds, because I have my dorky tendencies. I am sometimes out of the box, but I love that side of me. The bad thing is when I say something dorky and I get weird looks from those tech people....that's when you know it's bad haha.
Sometimes when I think about well known "business people", like Steve Jobs, I wonder if they ever have guilty pleasures of watching Jersey Shore, the Bachelor, or Teen Mom....probably not.
Well I am still addicted to Teen Mom and all of those shows. It is amazing how crazy some people's lives are. Josh was passing through the living room when I was watching an episode and said "Isn't it sad that people, not only live like that, but are willing to air it all out on Television?" It is kind of true, but it is kind of a nice reminder of how normal my life is and it is those moments that I am so glad I only have to worry about Josh and myself. I cannot imagine how hectic it would be to have a child at such a young age. Cudos to those who are that responsible.
One of my cousins is only 12ish years older than me and she is about to have her 6th child! So crazy! I went to a baby shower a few months ago and the women were talking about all the aweful stuff your body and emotions go through....NO THANK YOU! I am emotional enough as it is, so I think I will wait on all that baby stuff. :)
